Ferula hermonis

This herb, a relative of the carrot family, is traditionally used in Lebanon for its libido enhancing effects, mainly in older men and menopausal women. It has simalr actions to Vitex agnus-castus.

Avoid in pregnancy and breast-feeding. Seek advice if taking HRT, the contraceptive pill or any other synthetic sex-hormone therapy.
