Yellow dock is a gentle laxative, will improve bile flow and is generally a cleansing herb. It is often used in skin problems such as acne and boils where it combines well with burdock and dandelion root. Suitable for children.

Avoid in pregnancy and breast-feeding. Short-term use only and always combine with a carminative herb such as angelica, peppermint, chamomile etc to reduce griping. Avoid in inflammatory bowel disorders, intestinal obstruction and diarrhoea.
