Prickly ash bark (Southern) Tincture

Zanthoxylum clava-herculis

The bark of this tree is a warming circulatory stimulant, used in raynaud's disease, intermittent claudication, leg ulcers and almost any condition where blood flow needs to be increased to the peripheries. It is used in joint problems, again to stimulate blood flow to stiffand painful joints.

Avoid in pregnancy and if suffering gastritis or peptic ulceration. Avoid if taking anti-coagulant therapy.
